Grape: Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon
Tasting Notes: Blackberry, Plum, Leather, Oak
Dueling Pistols wines intertwined two competing varietals in a 50/50 blend where each varietal's fight for power balances that of the others. They're artfully crafted to harness tension and create a bold flavor profile. Each blend honors a highly regarded California wine growing region.
The Petite Sirah/Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Paso Robles is rich and smooth, full-bodied with nice acidity and silky tannin. Big & juicy at the front but then softens out over a lingering finish. Lots of dark fruits, chocolate, oak, juicy cherry and cranberry, white pepper, cloves, bit of licorice, earth, and leather. roll over the palate. Try with a hearty beef stew.
