Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes: Blackberry, Rhubarb, Spice, Strawberry
Dutton-Goldfield Winery began with a handshake in a vineyard in 1998, when longtime colleagues and friends Steve Dutton and Dan Goldfield recognized a shared vision between them—to craft wines that express the personalities of their cool-climate vineyards, and which they'd enjoy drinking at their own dinner tables. Their wines reflect the spectacular part of Northern California where the grapes are grown, the superb quality of fruit from perfectly placed and planted vineyards, and the work of an appreciative winemaker.
The Dutton Ranch Pinot Noir is both rich and lively, medium bodied, with nice concentration, polished tannins and bright acidity. The palate profile provides black raspberry, blackberry, rhubarb, strawberry, and plum with notes of spice, earth and oak.along with hints of minerality and black olive towards the end. Can pair with anything from eggplant parmesan, pasta or pizza to duck confit or lamb.
