Tasting Notes: Peach, Lychee, Jasmine, Tropical fruit
For over 370 years and with 13-family generations the Hugel family has unrivaled experience and knowledge of Alsace vineyards and winemaking. Their cellars contain oak casks more than one century old, including the famous STE CATERINE, dated 1715, which is featured in the Guinness Book of Records.
On the nose of this Gewürztraminer you find notes of white peach, lychee, and jasmine. Structurally it exudes balance, bright acidity and charm. The palate is dry with floral and spicy notes as well as flavors of lychee, tropical fruit, peach, apricot, pear, honey, and minerals. It is incredibly versatile pairing with anything from cheese plates to miso black cod and is a great wine for Thanksgiving. Will age up to 3 years.
