The name Ferreira is known in the world of Port Wines and Douro Wines as a brand that produces wines of great quality since 1751. Named by Wine & Spirits Magazine as one of the top producers of 2012, this historic house is one of the great ambassadors of port and Portuguese wines. 

The 2011 Ferriera Vintage Port is powerful, bold and ripe, with balanced acidity, and robust tannins.  Red fruits (raspberry, plum), chocolate, violets, black fig,  and spices, especially pepper, come to the fore. Very fresh and juicy, full bodied, and medium sweet with a lovely velvety texture. Outstanding with chocolate layer cake or while sitting in front of the roaring fireplace in the winter.
