Tasting Notes: Apricot, Peach, Tropical Fruits, Apple
Fess Parker walked away from Hollywood in the 1970s (Daniel Boone and Davy Crocket rank as his most memorable roles), opened a resort hotel in Santa Barbara in the 80s, and then was lured in to the wine business. In addition to wine, the winery is known for selling coonskin caps and bottle toppers inspired by Parker's Crockett and Boone characters, and for its appearance under another name in the movie Sideways.
This Riesling is a refreshing, off-dry wine with good balance between sweetness and acidity. The well structured palate satisfies with prominent apricot, white peach, lychee nut, Granny Smith apple, lemon cream, passion fruit, pineapple, Jasmine and chamomile flavors. This wine pairs seamlessly with sushi, Thai and Vietnamese cuisine, and is also the ideal sipping wine.
