Tasting Notes: Marascino Cherry, Plum, Anise, Cinammon
Situated in the tiny village of Sorbo Serpico in Campania’s Irpinia region, this highly acclaimed estate was established by the Capaldo and Ercolino families in 1986. Aglianico is one of the great grapes of Southern Italy. It is at it's best in Taurasi and this full-bodied wine with lots of interestings flavors is a great example of how the grape can shine. Although it can be drunk now, the tannins will smooth out with some age or decanting.
