Tasting Notes: Apple Cider, Key Lime, Pineapple, Chamomile
Though rooted in fact, the folklore surrounding the ideation of the hobo in the annals of Americana calls to mind the spirit of adventure that defines us as a nation and hearkens us fearlessly to the open road ahead. The road may be dusty and well-worn, yet it’s ever full of possibility and adventure. It is in this tradition that Hobo Wine Company, founded in 2002 by Kenny Likitprakong, brings to us its small batch, uniquely crafted, daringly original, because-we-say-we-can wines (and with these, we might add, a ferociously loyal following.) “A Red Herring Afternoon” takes its cue from Gewürztraminer and in stainless steel fermentation finds tight structure with well-nuanced aromatics and a crisp, juicy apple finish.
