Tasting Notes: Smoke, Dark Chocolate, Espresso
One of the first single malt whiskies to be produced in New York since the fall of prohibition, Hillrock single malt is made from barley grown exclusively in the fields of the Hillrock Estate. Dave Pickerell’s meticulous oversight of the peating process results in a smoky, but not overdone whiskey that retains its subtlety and is perfectly accented by pleasing notes of espresso and cocoa.
