Tasting Notes: Pear, Apple, Mineral, Citrus
Our friend Birk O'Halloran and his buddy Karl Antle are committed to making wines they like to drink. They simply strive to make the best wines possible and do this by working with multiple vineyard sources from around northern California. This allows them every year to assure they pull the best fruit for the price.
2018 was a fantastic vintage. It was a long cool growing season that allowed the wine to obtain an optimal ripeness while keeping its freshness. It's a very smooth, crisp, easy drinking chardonnay that's 100% fermented in stainless steel which keeps the fruit bright and fresh and maintains the grapes’ minerality. The palate delivers notes of pear, pineapple, mineral, lemon zest, lime, and apple lingering into the fairly long finish. Pair with pan-seared Mahi Mahi.
