Jordan has been family owned and operated since 1972. The winery runs almost entirely on solar energy, and their vineyards and winery are certified sustainable. Since 2012, a large portion of the profits from Jordan Winery fund The John Jordan Foundation, which works to fight the negative effects of poverty in communities through education and health services.
Combining the artistry of the old world with the technology of the new, the Jordan Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is blended in the tradition of Bordeaux. elegant, dark, dense with a masculine structure, beautiful balance, fine tannins, and ripe acidity. On the graceful palate you'll find flavors of cassis, black cherry, icorice, blackberries, oak, vanilla, tobacco, and cherry. Beautifully complements grilled or roasted dishes, such as herb-crusted lamb, pork belly or rosemary chicken as well as savory dishes such as mushroom risotto.
