Bodegas Juan Gil was founded in 1916 by Juan Gil Gimenez. Over five generations, the winery has been consolidated and improved. The Monastrel,l dry farmed vines are between 40 and 100 years old and are situated at an altitude of 2,000 feet.
The Blue Label is dry, full bodied, and has medium plus acidity, velvety tannins, and a long finish. Flavors of oak, vanilla, chocolate, blackberry, black tea, plum, leather, earth, and a hint of balsamic envelop the tongue. Pair with some fire roasted meat such as pork tenderloin.
