Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes: Black cherCola, Spice
Founded in 1997, Kosta Browne is one of North America’s most revered wineries, recognized for making some of the world’s finest Pinot Noirs. Kosta Browne has earned a place on Wine Spectator’s annual list of the world’s “Top 100 Wines” seven times since 2005, including “Wine of the Year” in 2011.
Steep hillsides and a variety of clones help add diversity to this vineyard and subsequently this wine. It's full-bodied and silky, ripe and opulent. Its aromas and flavors deliver outstanding red and black fruits including black cherry, blackberry, plum and raspberry as well as oak, cola, cinnamon, and unsweetened chocolate that last and last into its pleasingly spicy finish. Pair it with a lightly-seasoned crown roast of lamb.
