The House was established in Reims in 1843, by Joseph Krug. Since 1843, six generations of the Krug family have enriched Joseph's vision of crafting the very best Champagne he could offer, every single year, regardless of annual variations in climate.
The flagship of the house, Grande Cuvee is imposing in character from the first moment in the glass. Very complex, structured, precise, and full of fresh characters with immense concentration and power. With its minimum of six years' bottle aging, this is a beautifully integrated, mature wine. The creamy palate conveys flavors of lemon, peach, pear, nectarine, hazelnut, almonds, brioche and honey. A good accompaniment to oysters, fish or white meats.
