Smooth: Berry, Black Cherry, Licorice, Juicy
A family run winery that makes single varietals and blends from the Westside of Paso Robles with grapes including Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre and Roussanne. Winemaker Mark Adams makes the wines from grapes grown on the ranch he grew up on -- now called Adams Ranch Vineyard.
Mark Adams, who is also the assistanc winemaker at Saxum, makes wines that show the relatively cool temperature of the vineyards. The wines have a Rhone like character and the Los Topos is rich, yet juicy and balanced. The blend is Mourvedre, Syrah, Grenache, and Viognier.
