Tasting Notes: Red Plum, Peach, Mineral, Pomegranate
Proprietors of Liquid Farm, Nikki and Jeff Nelson, make the wines along with guidance from the talented guys at Dragonette Cellars. Their aim is to make wines "that have naturally high acidity and are not masked by many of the modern day manipulations." The name refers to wine being a liquid that comes from farming.
Bone-dry, fresh and lively. Really round and full bodied. The alkaline soil in Santa Barbara's Happy Canyon gives this Mourvedre its signature lift and mouthwatering acidity.
Red plum, pomegranate flavors intermingle with notes of rhubarb, stone, peach, rose petals, and a dash of tart cherry on the finish. Wonderful minerality and earthiness - rare for rosé. Amazing on its own or try with a summer fruit salad.
