Prado Enea is the flagship wine at Muga, a steadfastly traditional Gran Reserva that is typically only produced 4 or so years per decade. It is aged 1 year in American oak, then 3 years in French oak and, finally, 3 years in bottle before it is released.
The Prado Enea is rich, medium to full-bodied, has a layered, balanced texture, and integrated tannins. The palate reveals developed flavors of cocoa, vanilla, toast, truffle, forest floor and hints of cigar ash and incense. The finish lingers on the tongue. This wine pairs well with casseroles, meat dishes, fish, and cheese.
