Grape: Macabeo, Parellada, and Xarello
Tasting Notes: Apple, Apricot, Citrus, Brioche
Old vines make for very good wines…. This is one of the key points that make Casas Del Mar different and more complex than other Cava. In the Penedes region the three grape varieties Macabeo, Parellada, and Xarello are blended to make Cava. At Casas Del Mar, their Xarello vineyard is over 70 years old in one of the best and original sites. It is produced in the Methode Traditionelle - the French Champagne Method. Casa has aromas of toasted brioche. It’s small, elegant bubbles bing hints of apples and apricots to the palate, finishing with bright notes of citrus.
