Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes: Red cherry, Raspberry, Spice, Earth
Through a lifetime of building relationships in the vineyards of Burgundy, Pierre Meurgey, a native Burgundian and fourth generation wine trader, enjoys friendships with the top vintners and vineyard managers in Burgundy to source the finest grapes for his two labels Pierre Meurgey and Meurgey-Croses.
This stylish, nicely rich, Pinot from the southern end of Beaune's 1er Cru area is well structured, medium bodied, and vibrant with firm tannins. The smooth palate features red cherry, dark raspberry, red currant, violets, pepper, and earth. It's a good match with Wiener schnitzel, Turkey cutlets, or Empanadas de carne.
