The Moncuit family can trace their origins as grape growers in Champagne to the end of the 19th century. Since 1977, sister-brother duo Nicole and Yves Moncuit have shared the responsibilities of managing the estate. The family owns fifteen of its twenty hectares of vines in the Grand Cru commune of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. All Moncuit wines are produced from a single vintage.
The Nicole Moncuit Grand Cru 2006 sparkler is a complex and traditional style of Champagne that's powerful, very dry and creamy, with silky texture and underlined by a soft effervescence. It is a cuvée which is produced only in exceptional years from grand cru vines averaging over 50 years. Very typical flavors of apples, lime, lemon, brioche, hazalnut and minerals. Can be totally enjoyed on its own or with typical pairings of caviar or oysters.
