Grape: 70% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes: Apple, White Peach, Brioche, Minerality
Unanimous praise for this outstanding cuvee including "Looks like it's becoming another legendary Piper in the same style and league as 1988, ’76 and ’55" from Decanter. This is one of the last CHampagnes from the outstanding 2002 vintage still on the market.
The bouquet is a pure, complex blend of apple, white peach, a touch of leesiness, and fresh-baked bread. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, crisp and superbly detailed with an excellent minerality on the long, vibrant and very classy finish. Perfect with lobster and other rich shellfish.
