Aldo Conterno has been identified as one of the most excellent wine makers of Piedmont, and his wines distinguish themselves for simplicity and quality. His Barolo wines remain firmly in the traditionalist camp. 

The Poderi Aldo Conterno Barolo is clean, polished, vibrant, and ethereal. It has great depth and elegance, full body, and dense tannins with a fine minerality that continues through to a long finish. 85% of the fruit for this Barolo comes from a selection of the best vineyards on the Bussia Soprana hill. This classic expression of Nebbiolo reveals dried blackberry, macerated plum, licorice, leather, tar and spice flavors. It will accompany perfectly platters of red meats, seasoned cheeses or elk osso bucco.
