Tasting Notes: Plum, Blackberry, Vanilla, Smoke
Chryseia, which means "golden" in Greek, is one of the leading red table wines from Portugal's Douro Valley. Crafted by Prats & Symington family, Port producers since 1882, and Bruno Prats, former owner of the famed Chateau Cos d'Estournel, Chryseia began with some experimental lots of wine in 1999. Post Scriptum is sourced primarily from Quinta de Roriz and Quinta de Perdiz.
The Post Scriptum is an expressive and fresh Douro. It's dry, full bodied and has soft, powdery tannins, and a lot of fruit such as dark plum, black cherry, and blackberry. You'll also get flavors of coffee, dark chocolate and sandalwood. It will pair well with grilled meats.
