New York State viniculture has gained traction in recent years, becoming well known as a consistent source of high-quality, world- class wine. It is in fact the third biggest producer of wine in the US. This is in no small part thanks to wineries such as Red Hook, who since their founding in 2008 have been producing wines meticulously sourced from the Finger Lakes and the North Fork of Long Island. Island Hope is a smoky, fruit forward Cab Franc. Medium bodied and approachable, with well-balanced tannic structure and a delicate touch of minerality. The complexity of its opening leads into an elegant and smooth finish. Great pairing for ribeye steak and roast vegetables. 100% of the profits from this wine go to recovery efforts for storm victims in the Caribbean.
