This is a traditional late-harvested wine from the steep slope of Burgberg, with blue and gray slate, as well as quartz. Burgberg is a grand cru vineyard that is now farmed biodynamically. This spatlese (late harvest) has residual sugar but it it less than half of many spatleses that are made today. In other words, it is a balanced sweetness.
