Tasting Notes: Black cherry, Blackberry, Earth, Tobacco, Smoke
San Felice is located in the commune of Castelnuovo Berardenga, a few kilometres from Siena, in the heart of Chianti Classico. Named after a local early Christian Saint from the 18th century, the property was bought by the Grisaldi Del Taja family – the founding members of the Chianti Classico consortium. The family produced wine for several centuries. Since the ‘80s, San Felice has carried out an intense program of research and experimentation.
The San Felice Gran Selezione is a full-bodied red that's velvety smooth and elegantly structured with polished tannins harmoniously integrated with the acidity. The rich palate brims with flavors of black cherry, blackberry, cassis, plum, dark culinary spice, licorice, smoke, earth, and tobacco. Will beautifully accompany roasted and grilled meats, chicken cacciatore, or pizza with prosciutto.
