The Sierra Norte winery is located in Utiel-Requena which is an appellation in Valencia. Their vineyards are located at an average altitude of 920 meters in elevation which is the highest in the DO
This beauty comes from a single vineyard of old bush pruned Bobal farmed organically. It's dry, perfectly balanced with great depth, moderate acid, medium plus body and medium tannins. Blackberry, smoke, black cherry, raisin, leather, oak, and tobacco notes roll over the palate. A good choice for braised lamb or a hearty stew.
