Grape: 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot
Tasting Notes: Black fruit, Tobacco, Earth, Blueberry
For three generations the Snowden family has been farming red wine grapes on their ranch located on the eastern slope of the Napa Valley overlooking the towns of Rutherford and St. Helena. The estate offers four separate sites producing remarkably complex and individualistic wines. They utilize organic farming practices.
The old school styled "The Ranch" is elegant and nuanced, medium to full-bodied, plush and easy to drink, with soft tannins and a long finish. The delicate and generous palate provides flavors of blackberries, blueberries, red currants, light earthiness and tobacco with notes of oak and spice. Light in color but packs a punch. Try with beef, game or lamb.
