Taittinger was established in 1931 by Pierre Taittinger on the foundations of Forest-Forneaux, itself established in 1734 and the third-oldest wine producing house of Champagne. They are one of the last independent eponymous Champagne houses.
A classy, lush, complex, energetic, and elegant Champagne which has petite bubbles, crisp acidity, and good depth. Lemon, green apple, crushed stone, brioche, nuts, and notes of cherry and chalk. Great with lobster or foie gras or creamy cheese.
