Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes: Raspberry, Cherry, Black fruits, Spice
As a long-time connoisseur of French Burgundy, Dr. Donald Olson set out on a journey to create world-class wine in his beloved state of Oregon. In 1993, he founded Torii Mor as a tribute to his late son Leif. The name Torii Mor derives from the Torii gate in the property’s Japanese garden and the ancient Scandinavian word for earth. Together, the name is a nod to Pinot Noir’s expression of terroir and connection to the earth.
Crafted in a Burgundian style, this wine provides the balance and flavors of Old World Pinot Noir. It features medium to high acid and easy tannins. Lots of earthy and mushroom flavors woven into the berries and cherries along with notes of leather, cured meat, and spices. Try with grilled lamb burgers with wild mushrooms.
