Grape: Nebbiolo
Tastiing Notes: Cherry, Leather, Earth, Oak
Located in the heart of Gattinara, Travaglini was established in the 1920s by Clemente Travaglini. The family's passion and commitment to winemaking has not diminished through the generations. Throughout the years, Travaglini has established itself in Gattinara as the most esteemed producer of traditional, limited-production wines from the Nebbiolo grape.
This Gattinara expresses the classic qualities of the appellation - you can find the essence of the land and its traditions. It's dry, medium to full-bodied, complex, and balanced with grippy tannins and medium acidity. The pronounced palate passes along flavors of cherry, raspberry, leather, raisin, earth, oak, roses, and spice. It culminates in a long and smooth finish. How about matching to duck ragu with pappardelle.
