Tasting Notes: Red Cherry, Raspberry, Black Fruits, Spice
Turley Wine Cellars was founded in 1993 by Larry Turley. By focusing on old vine vineyards in particular, Turley aims to both create and preserve California’s unique winemaking culture. All of Turley’s vineyards are either certified organic by California Certified Organic Farmers or somewhere in the process.
The 2017 Zinfandel Steacy Ranch comes from a vineyard planted in 1907. Medium to full-bodied, it offers lots of spices in the mouth along with wonderfully ripe, lush black fruits, red cherry and raspberry flavors with notes of lavender, clay, clove and tobacco adding complexity. There's velvety tannins and mouthwatering acidity. The finish is long and silky. Pair beautifully with smoked pork tenderloin.
