Tasting Notes: Spice, Blackberry, Plum, Oak
The idea for Two Hands was born in September 1999 when founders Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz sat at a friend’s engagement party and decided it was time to make their own wine and market it on the world stage. The original aim was, and still is, to make the best possible Shiraz-based wines from prized growing regions throughout Australia.
The Lily's Garden is a medium to full-bodied beauty that is complex, flawlessly balanced, textured, seamless, creamy and ripe, turning silky on the finish. It has velvety smooth tannins, vibrant acidity, and excellent power. There's classic Shiraz notes of dark black fruits, herbal undertones, scorched earth, cherry, pepper, and obvious minerality. A powerhouse that will continue to cellar well. Pair with something meaty from the BBQ. The bottled wine is unfined and unfiltered.
